I recently had the chance to sample this Lazy River bourbon that’s distilled and aged in Kentucky, then bottled by Frank-Lin Distillers Products in California. Beyond that, details are scarce—I couldn’t find any information on the mash bill or the aging period. If you’ve got any additional info on this bourbon—whether it’s the mash bill, aging process, or anything else—drop it in the comments below! Now, let’s dive in.
Nose: spices, oak and vanilla
Palate: bite with spices, vanilla and oak
Finish: vanilla and oak
ABV: 45%
Cost: $1.99 (what we paid for a 50ml bottle; $39.99 for a 750ml)
This bourbon opens with a bold bite of spice that hits right up front, then gradually mellows into a creamy, smooth finish—familiar and comforting, like something you’ve likely tasted before. Is it good? Absolutely. But it’s also a profile that probably already lives on your shelf. It’s not groundbreaking, and it won’t blow you away. That said, I really appreciate the price point. It’s an affordable option that works perfectly in cocktails, especially when you want to save your top-shelf bottles for a special occasion.
Cheers!
