Jameson Orange

Now here’s a product that screams summer! Jameson changes things up with Jameson Orange which incorporates natural orange flavors to its whiskey, but, does it taste good?

Nose: oranges, sweetness and zest
Palate: oranges, sweet, light vanilla
Finish: citrus and oranges
Cost: $30 (what I paid)
ABV: 30%

I think if you are going into this product with the idea that it will taste like whiskey, you will be disappointed. Simply put, this tastes like a liqueur to me, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

NEAT/OVER ICE: The orange notes are extremely strong if you sip on this neat and even over ice. It’s also sweet and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

COFFEE: I’ve never been a fan of the regular Jameson and coffee but, Jameson Orange and coffee is on a whole different level. These two combined are perfect. The orange notes aren’t in your face, and it adds a nice light sweetness. My husband occasionally enjoys Jameson and coffee on Sundays, I think now I’ll join him with this product.

SPRITE/GINGER ALE: I don’t drink soda but had to see if these two tastes good mixed together and they do. With the Sprite the orange notes are very muted. In the ginger ale you get a lot more of the orange but there is a good balance of ginger and orange.

Overall, this is a great whiskey when mixed in a cocktail which is perfect for the warm weather. There are loads of other things you can mix with this, so go ahead and get creative.

Cheers!

Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend for people to try it and make up their own minds.
