If you recall, not too long ago I wrote about the Bulleit Old Fashioned ready-made cocktail (bright orange bottle you can’t miss). Now Bulleit’s Manhattan ready-made cocktail (in a bright green bottle) is being tasted and reviewed.
Using their own whiskey, this Manhattan is made with straight rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters.
Nose: rye and bitters
Palate: rye, bitters, spices and vanilla
Finish: rye and bitters
Cost: $30 (what we paid)
ABV: 37.5
This tastes like a Manhattan. It’s not sweet and the notes you get the most arerye and bitters. Every so often you get hints of vanilla and spices.
The bottle I purchased was their 750ml bottle and for $30, that’s a steal. If you go to a restaurant, you are paying upwards of $10+ for a cocktail. I feel you can get more than 10 servings out this bottle, at least with my pours you can. This is a tasty ready-made cocktail any Manhattan lover will enjoy.
At first, I thought I enjoyed their Old-Fashioned ready-made cocktail better but, after letting the Manhattan sit in the ice for a little bit, it was absolute perfection. I think they’ve hit it out of the park with this ready-made cocktail. They’re affordable, delicious, and maybe you can pretend you made these yourself if you’re serving to guests. It’s alright, go ahead, we won’t tell.
Cheers!
