,This bottle was gifted to us by our friends who live in Virginia (thanks Jeff and Sara). Prior to this we had not heard of this brand. This Single Barrel is produced by the A. Smith Bowman Distillery, which is currently located in Fredericksburg, VA. The distillery is also owned by Sazerac.

Nose: oak, vanilla and caramel
Palate: spices (slightly peppery), vanilla, fig, and leather
Finish: toffee, spices, and vanilla

This is easily an everyday drinking whiskey. It’s smooth, full of spices that to me almost went peppery, in a good way. You want to know what’s even more brilliant… there is little to no bite. It’s a whiskey that even non whiskey drinkers will enjoy especially because of the no bite. A great gift we are going to enjoy sipping.
