Dough Ball Whiskey – Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake

Whiskey doesn’t always have to be serious. If you’re in the mood for something playful and sweet, you’re in for a treat. The moment I spotted these mini bottles, I couldn’t resist adding them to my cart—though I only grabbed the 50ml versions, since sweet drinks aren’t usually my thing and these practically shout dessert. I picked up Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake flavors, so let’s dive in and see what they’re all about.

Cookie Dough

Nose: vanilla, butter and chocolate

Palate: chocolate, cookie dough and vanilla

Finish: very sweet and chocolatey

ABV: 35%

Cost: $1.99 (what we paid for a 50ml; 750ml costs around $22)

Birthday Cake

Nose: vanilla and buttercream

Palate: cake, vanilla and frosting

Finish: sprinkle notes and sweetness

ABV: 35%

Cost: $1.99 (what we paid for a 50ml; 750ml costs around $22)

These taste exactly as advertised—which is a win in itself. You’re truly getting what you paid for. The Cookie Dough flavor leans chocolate-forward, while Birthday Cake is more vanilla-forward and noticeably sweeter (hard to believe, but true!).

Both are undeniably sweet and syrupy, so if that’s your vibe, you’ll love them. The fact that they deliver on their flavor promises is impressive—something not all products manage to do, so kudos for that.

Are they for me? Not really—maybe in a rare mudslide moment. But they’re definitely fun and perfect for anyone who enjoys crafting dessert-style cocktails. If that’s you, these are a solid pick.

Cheers!

Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend for people to try it and make up their own minds.
