We’ve just finished our bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year, and it’s time to share our final thoughts. To be completely honest – no need to sugarcoat it – this is an outstanding whisky. Without hesitation, we’d absolutely buy again. Let’s revisit the tasting notes.

Nose: fruit, toffee and sweetness 

Palate: creamy, vanilla, sweet, fruit (guava) and hints of spices

Finish: warm, smooth and lingering notes of vanilla 

ABV: 43%

You can typically find this whisky for around $80 and let me tell you – it’s worth every penny. It’s incredibly smooth, with vibrant tropical notes and a gentle sweetness that makes it a pleasurable sip. We’ve spent significantly more on bottles that didn’t come close to delivering this level of quality. In our eyes, this one strikes the perfect balance: affordable, approachable, and it’s exceptionally well-crafted.
