I’m always on the lookout for easy pre-made cocktails. I found this little guy on a recent visit to Whole Foods. Wandering Barman is a brand out of Brooklyn, New York, started by previous bartenders, waiters, and restaurant managers with years of experience.

Boomerang is an Old Fashioned with bourbon whiskey, Tree juice maple syrup, hickory smoke concentrate and aromatic orange bitters. It is 30% ABV and I spent around $6 for this 100 ml bottle.

This cocktail is not sweet at all which I absolutely love. You get the bitters and whiskey all at the same time without one overpowering the other. Honestly, it’s balanced and fantastic. I’m getting notes of smoke, bitters, spices, and light sweetness. 1000% better than I thought it would be.

I’ve got to say, this has been one of the better pre-made Old Fashioned cocktails I’ve had to date. What’s even more impressive are the amazing notes of smoke. I will now have to try all their other cocktails. So, if you want a delicious, pre-made smoky Old Fashioned, give this one a try. It’s simply fantastic!
