My husband and I celebrated our 6th month wedding anniversary this past April.I know I know, before you come at me, we know it’s not a long time, but it was still special enough after we had to cancel our original date due to Covid. To help celebrate we opened this Macallan Rare Cask Batch No 2 2019 given to us by a good friend (thank you Kevin H).

Nose: raisins, apples and vanilla
Palate: raisins, chocolate, citrus and vanilla
Finish: rich and smooth
ABV: 43%

Wow, this whisky is simply phenomenal! It’s smooth, lightly sweet, full of flavor, with very little burn. This is a quality whisky and given it’s Macallan I’m not surprised. I know it’s an expensive whisky but, this is one of those whiskies you bring out for those moments you want to remember, at least for us it is.

We absolutely love it, and if you have the chance to try, you will not be disappointed.
