Here’s another Midwinter release from High West and this year we were lucky enough to gift a bottle to our friends. The upside, they opened the bottle while we were there and we all got to enjoy a dram.
Named after William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” it’s a whiskey that will keep you warm and cozy this winter with flavors that remind you of Christmas.
Nose: marshmallow, cherries, and star anise
Palate: strudel, cinnamon, cardamom, and spices
Finish: smooth, warming and spiced
This is Christmas in a bottle which is the same thing I said about the bottle we own, Act 6 Scene 5. It’s a bottle we have been nursing because we enjoy it so much and these are hard to find. You get loads of spices, light sweetness, and a smooth ending. It’s fantastic!
If you can find it at retail price it’s a must have. It also makes for a great holiday gift.
Cheers!
Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend for people to try it and make up their own minds.
