If someone were to ask me if they could use my scotches for cocktail mixing I’d really have to think about. Some scotches are simply not made for cocktails which is probably why Glenmorangie partnered with bartenders to create X. It’s a single malt scotch whisky made for cocktail mixing. I mean.. how fabulous is that!

Nose: sweet, vanilla, pear and honey
Palate: chocolate, orange and creme brûlée
Finish: lightly sweet
Cost: $39.99 (what we paid)

On its own it’s a lightly sweet whisky with fruit and chocolate notes. I also used it in a cocktail and it was a fantastic add. It brought out an added touch of sweetness.

Personally I think this product is great. If you don’t want to use your expensive scotches for a cocktail, well… here is a solution.
