Spring may be three days away but winter just simply doesn’t want to go away and I feel like I’ve just had about enough of it. If you live in a state that has seen this brutal winter, then you understand. No better way to pretend it’s nice and warm outside than, enjoying a nice summery cocktail in my extremely hot apartment since I can’t really regulate my heat.
Now, there is no rulebook that says you can only make this cocktail in the summer, but this light and very tasty Auchentoshan whisky cocktail, which I think you will love, is the perfect summer drink.
While doing a little researching not too long ago, I stumbled across this whisky cocktail on the Auchentoshan website using their Auchentoshan Classic. For each member of their range they have a cocktail recipe listed or a suggested way to drink it, which to me is a brilliant idea (http://www.auchentoshan.com/enjoy-me/serves/cocktail/whisky-a-lolo.aspx). So if you too want to pretend it’s summer or actually make it when the warm weather arrives, here is what you’ll need.
Ingredients:
50 ml Auchentoshan Classic
75 ml ginger beer
Mixture of fresh fruit – mint, apple, fresh lime, lemons and oranges
What’s great is that you can make this in a large pitcher and it could be a wonderful outdoor party cocktail. See my video to see how it’s made.
Cheers!
