Not too long ago, I shared my thoughts on the Tree House Distillery Kola Coffee Liqueur, which I genuinely consider exceptional. So, when I spotted three additional flavors available in miniature bottles, there was really no question, I had to try them. I picked up the Liqueur Trio Gift Set, which includes three 200 mL minis, priced at $39 for all three. The big question is whether these flavors live up to the original coffee liqueur. Keep reading to find out, but first, let’s take a closer look at the flavors themselves.

Banane (20% ABV): Crafted from single malt whiskey, infused with cold brew coffee and steeped with vanilla and Bananas.

Cacao (20% ABV): Crafted from single malt whiskey, infused with cold brew coffee and steeped with vanilla and Cacao Nibs.

Coconut (20% ABV): Crafted from single malt whiskey, infused with cold brew coffee and steeped with vanilla and toasted coconut.

What I love most about these, aside from the Coconut, is that they aren’t overly sweet. The Coconut does lean on the sweeter side, and while it’s still enjoyable, that extra sweetness makes it my least favorite of the trio. The Banana and Cacao, on the other hand, are truly exceptional, with both flavors coming through beautifully. Each is perfectly balanced with notes of vanilla, coffee, and whiskey.

We sampled them over ice, stirred into coffee, and mixed into hot chocolate, and they performed extremely well in every application. They would also be fantastic drizzled over ice cream. If you’re a fan of whiskey liqueurs, these are thoughtfully crafted and worth trying.
