We’ve had this bottle on our shelf since March 2023, and we finally finished it over the recent holiday season. So, did it live up to the long wait—and would we buy it again? Keep reading to find out. But first, let’s revisit the notes.
Nose: zest, salt, and smoke
Palate: pepper, salt, peat, spices, and fennel
Finish: salt, smoke and zesty
Cost: $58 (what we paid)
ABV: 46%
When I first reviewed this bottle, I said it was rugged in all the best ways—and honestly, I still feel that way. The zesty finish continues to be my favorite part; it’s something I haven’t found anywhere else.
Would I buy it again? Yes, but not right this second. I’ve got plenty of other peated favorites in my collection, so replacing this one isn’t urgent. It’s a bottle I’d happily revisit down the line, but it’s not an immediate must-buy.
Cheers!
Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend people to try it and make up their own minds.
