OK, so I didn’t know Buffalo Trace made Bourbon Cream until my husband mentioned it. It seems he had been seeking a bottle and we finally found it. So, let’s dig into this offering.
This is a small batch product using their Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, cream and according to the bottle, a hint of sugar.
Nose: vanilla, spices and sweetness
Palate: creamy vanilla
Finish: vanilla and spice
Cost: $25
ABV: 15%
The best way to describe this is melted vanilla ice cream with spices from the bourbon. What I loved, it’s not too sweet. It’s rich, creamy with vanilla being the prominent note throughout the sip. I did get loads of spices at the back of my tongue that simply kept me sipping.
I enjoyed this over ice and over coffee. Both options were fantastic. This would also be great over ice cream or even a chocolatey dessert. If you are a fan of Bailey’s or any Irish Cream, you’ll enjoy this one.
Cheers!
