I spy with my little eye another WhistlePig Cocktail To-Go. This time, a Ginger Fashioned. I’ve tried their Orange Fashioned and absolutely loved it. It’s a cocktail I would certainly bring to someone’s house so they could enjoy it, but is this one just as good?

This Ginger Fashioned I’d made using their 6-year PiggyBack Rye and Runamok pure maple syrup infused with raw ginger. It’s 35% ABV and this 375ml bottle cost me around $30.

Compared to the Orange Fashioned, this one is a lot sweeter. I tried it neat,and you get hit with loads of maple syrup with hits of spices. Over ice, the sweetness mellows down a bit, but you are still getting some sweetness.Personally, I like the Orange Fashioned better, only because it’s not as sweet.This ready-made cocktail is great for those who don’t enjoy the taste of whiskey and who enjoy cocktails on the sweeter side.
