The Blender’s Dog – Jameson

If you follow me on Instagram (@thewhiskeywench) then you’ve already seen the pictures of the whiskey bottle. One of my favorite things to do is get together with my whiskey loving friends and drink whiskey… But, before I get into that story, let me tell you about the whiskey.

The Blender’s Dog, a whiskey launched in 2016 as part of Jameson’s Whiskey Makers Series is the brainchild of Head Blender Billy Leighton.

Tasting Notes

Nose: fruit, vanilla and oak

Palate: creamy, butterscotch, fruit and oak

Finish: smooth with lingering notes of fruit

Sitting down with friends, opening an awesome bottle of whiskey and then literally tossing the cork away is one of my favorite things to do. The experience isn’t about getting drunk but rather enjoying the whiskey, the company and most importantly sharing stories and memories to last you a lifetime.

All I can say about The Blender’s Dog is, Wow! This was the perfect whiskey to toss the cork away. It was surprisingly tasty, smooth, creamy and absolutely delicious. Why I had not tasted this whiskey before is beyond me! This whiskey is very complex, yet light and balanced. So light that it’s extremely drinkable.

We bought this whiskey for our great friend as a congratulations gift and lets be honest, we didn’t start off with the idea of tossing the cork, but after we tasted this whiskey, there was no way we were going to stop. I would highly recommend trying; it goes down so easily you might just end up drinking the whole bottle.

Cheers!

Before we finished the bottle!

Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend for people to try it and make up their own minds.
