Last year, we visited Tree House Distillery in Deerfield, MA—and spoiler alert: one of the standout samples we absolutely loved was their Kola Coffee Liqueur. That was surprising for me, since I’m usually not a big fan of coffee liqueurs. But this one? It might have changed my mind. Let’s dive in.
This liqueur is crafted from single malt whiskey, infused with cold brew coffee and steeped with vanilla. It has an ABV of 20%, and we purchased a 750 ml bottle for $40.
In my opinion, this liqueur is exceptionally well crafted. It’s sweet, but not overly so, and the coffee flavor is subtle—perfectly balanced with the whiskey. I absolutely love it! Personally, I think it’s best enjoyed over ice, but its versatility is impressive. You can mix it into cocktails or even add a splash to your coffee for an extra layer of flavor. At this price point, it’s definitely worth trying.
Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend people to try it and make up their own minds.
