Less than one week till St. Patrick’s Day so let’s continue featuring Irish brands. Today, Tullamore D.E.W. a brand I love! Recently, they released Tullamore D.E.W Honey. Let’s see if it’s any good.
The bottle is listed as a liqueur. To make it they blend their Single Malt, Single Pot still and Single Grain whiskies before infusing it with Natural Bohemian Honey, sugar and other natural ingredients.
Nose: honey and spices
Palate: vanilla, honey and light spices
Finish: very sweet
Cost: $30-$40 (depending on where you buy)
ABV: 35%
I’m going to be honest, this one is not for me. I found it to be sickly sweet. I couldn’t even finish drinking it. To be fair, I do not like things that are on the sweet side. If you do, then this will be for you.
The prominent note is honey mixed in with vanilla. Every so often you got a little bit of spice which helped subdue the sweetness but those were short lived moments. I can see this used in cocktails, even a hot toddy and for those instances this might be amazing.
If you don’t like sweet things like me, you won’t like this. But if you do then you’ll love this liqueur.
Cheers!
Note: The contents on my blog are solely my opinion. To me every palate is different! Although I may or may not like a product, I always recommend for people to try it and make up their own minds.

Looking forward to trying this!
it’s a bargain at the moment in Total Wine.
nice blog!
