The Morris family established their wine making business in 1859. In 2016, over 150 years later they added whisky making into their portfolio. I had the chance to try their Single Malt and their Muscat Barrels at a whisky tasting event and let me tell you… wow!
Signature Single Malt Whisky

What’s great about these two is the light sweetness you get in both expressions. I typically stray away from anything sweet, but both bottles surprised me. They have a balance of sweetness, fruit, and spices. I found this to be more of the case in the Muscat expression. I love Muscat wine and the fruity/sweet flavors you get in the wine are very present in this whisky. They present, but not in an overwhelming way.
These whiskies are both beautifully made. They were two of the whiskies that stood out to us that night and we sampled nearly 20 different brands. If you are looking for something different and something that won’t burn your throat, these are clear winners. I absolutely loved both but if I had to recommend one over the other, it would be the Muscat Barrels.
Cheers!
