Two Stacks Double Irish Cream Liqueur

My introduction to this brand was through their Dram in a Can, which, I must admit, was pretty darn tasty. So, when I got the chance to try their Double Irish Cream Liqueur, I was all in—because let’s be honest, not everyone wants straight whiskey on St. Patrick’s Day.

Founded in 2020 by Shane McCarthy, Liam Brogan, and Donal McLynn, Two Stacks is one of Ireland’s few independent bonding and blending operations. The brand made waves with Dram in a Can, the first Irish whiskey available in canned form—compact, portable, and ideal for on-the-go sipping. But today, we’re here for their Irish Cream Liqueur, so let’s get into it.

Their Irish Cream Liqueur packs eight times the usual amount of whiskey—built on their First Cut Signature blend.

Nose: vanilla, chocolate and whipped cream

Palate: caramel, spices, chocolate and vanilla

Finish: creamy, light sweet and whispers of whiskey

Cost: $35

ABV: 17.5%

This Irish Cream is so good. It tasted far superior to most Irish creams on the market, with a perfect balance of spice and sweetness. Nothing about it felt artificial—just pure, rich flavor. The texture is creamy—sometimes even light and airy—and while you do get that whiskey note at the end, it’s soft and never overwhelming. It’s like the whiskey is saying, I’m here, but I’ll be gentle.

I’d drink this straight over ice or use it in cocktails without hesitation. It impressed me so much that it’s now officially on our “must buy” list. If you’re looking for an Irish cream that stands out from the usual options on the shelf, this one is a fantastic choice.

Cheers!
