Baileys Cinnamon Churros and whiskey Cocktail

Well, hello Fall! I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, the hot weather contributed to my lack of inspiration. But we are back with a quick whiskey cocktail perfect for this time of year.

My husband recently brought home a bottle of Baileys Cinnamon Churros. This is by far, the best Baileys Irish Cream flavor I’ve had to date. It’s Fall in a bottle! This Irish Cream is a blend of Irish Cream, Irish Whiskey, cinnamon, and vanilla.

I enjoyed this over ice, and it was perfect. It’s not too sweet and the cinnamon notes are my favorite part of this drink. My husband enjoyed it in his coffee (it was a pumpkin coffee) and it gave the coffee a light sweetness. The cinnamon and pumpkin notes blended very well together. It was fantastic.

We indulged a little more as we were inspired to try the recipe on the bottle. It’s called a Cinnamon Toast Shot which has 1.5 oz Baileys Cinnamon Churros, 0.75 oz Whiskey (we used Connemara Peated Original), shaken and served with sugar rim. This was so gosh darn fantastic. The peat in the whiskey gave it that perfect smoke and warming effect.

Finally we tried it in hot chocolate and wow, it was also a hit. It is an absolute 10 out of 10 for us. It’s worth the $25 and it tasted amazing with everything we paired it with. It’s labeled as a limited edition, but I truly hope it sticks around.

Cheers!
