When it’s hot outside the last thing I want to do is drink whiskey. Give me a cold iced cocktail. So, I’ve got a quick recipe for you, but first, where I got the idea from.
This past weekend my husband and I took my brother and sister-in-law to the GlenPharmer Distillery in Franklin, MA for their first ever tour. After the tour, Beth Downing (owner of GlenPharmer along with her husband Patrick) shared that during the summer she enjoyed drinking their Bog (Vodka Infused with Cranberries) with Lemonade. Well, I have their Bog and I have lemonade (low sugar of course because I’m watching my girlish figure) so we are doing this.
Ingredients
*4oz Bog (feel free to use any flavored vodka in your home)
*Bai São Paulo Strawberry Lemonade (use any lemonade you have)
*Cranberries (garnish optional)
Instructions: Fill the glass with ice, add the Bog, and top off with the lemonade. Add cranberries as a garnish if you like. Mix and you are done.
Wow! This was a lot better than I thought it would be. It’s slightly tart but the light sweetness of the lemonade brings a nice balance. I don’t even care that cranberries are a fall berry. This drink is refreshing and perfect for the summer.
Cheers!
